When more and more of Montgomery County’s open space continued to fall prey to "urban sprawl”, Tom Ellis fought to keep Montgomery County green. Since January 1, 2004 when Tom became a member of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners he was successful in his efforts to preserve thousands of acres of open space and farmland as "special treasures". Tom has worked hard on quality of life issues during his tenure.
